I'm currently reading the classical historian Victor Davis Hanson's "Ripples of Battle" & am a long time fan of the astounding author Nelson DeMille. Laura Reese's two remarkable books, "Topping from Below" (soon to be a movie, so I'm told) & "Panic Snap" are strongly recommended to you as well as Molly Weatherfield's tomes, "Carrie's Story" and "Safe Word". I love to read Kipling, Tennyson, and A.E. Houseman's "A Shopshire Lad" is a favorite. I try my best to read something from "The Federalists Papers" before I keep my appointment with the Sandman. I retire by 10pm and have awakened at 4:30am, seven days a week for over twenty years. I am of the opinion that I'll have plenty of time to sleep when I am in a box. The photo realist Ken Keeley is my artist of some time and I count myself fortunate to possess two of his works. Edward Hopper is also someone who's works I enjoy, especially his "Sunday Morning." It's terribly evocative, don't you think? As to music,my tastes are eclectic and varied; Sade, Tears for Fears, Nine Inch Nails, The Allman Bros, China Crisis, Black 47, Hall & Oates, Bocelli, Donna Summer, Motown, Faithless, Rapture, Missy Elliot, James Brown, Outkast, Be Bop Deluxe, Blondie, The Jam, The Who, Cyndi Lauper, Train and China Crisis. My favorite movies, I would have to say are Sergio Leone's "Once Upon a Time in America," "Saving Private Ryan" (we owe them so much), & "The Pianist" and, of course, the first two Godfather movies, which I can recite by rote (hey,I'm from Brooklyn, y'know?). It's occurred to me that all you need to navigate life successfully can be found in those two movies and the catalogue of the Three Stooges. As of late, Sponge Bob as well has much to say to me. My creed is simple, though I am not. I truly believe in "Duty, Honor, Country." My most sensual organ is my mind. And it too is large, size being soooo important these days!
